Gathering for a Greater Purpose
Bringing Our Community Together
NMJLF events bring together supporters, businesses, families and friends from across New Mexico with one shared purpose: supporting the next generation of agriculture.
Throughout the year, we create unique opportunities for our community to gather, connect and give back. Whether dressing for the Derby, spending an evening out west or gathering a team for a day on the sporting clay course, each event offers a different experience with the same goal.
Funds raised through these events help NMJLF continue investing in New Mexico’s 4-H and FFA youth through junior livestock sales, scholarships, State Officer support and other opportunities that encourage their continued involvement in agriculture.
Different events. One shared purpose. A stronger future for New Mexico agriculture.
HATS & HORSES

Race Day Fun for a Great Cause
Break out the hats and join NMJLF in Las Cruces for an evening inspired by the excitement and tradition of Derby Day.
Hats & Horses brings together live music, horse racing on the game boards, a hat contest and plenty of friendly competition, all while raising funds to support NMJLF and New Mexico’s agricultural youth.
Guests are encouraged to dress for the occasion, pick their favorites and enjoy an evening where the races may be for fun, but the purpose behind them is very real.

EVENING OUT WEST
Albuquerque, New Mexico | Tentative Date: June 26, 2027
A Relaxed Gala With a Western Twist
Evening Out West is NMJLF’s largest annual fundraising event, bringing together supporters from across New Mexico for an evening of live music, dinner, games, raffles and live and silent auctions.
Only 300 tickets are sold each year, with each ticket admitting two guests and automatically entering the purchaser into the evening’s $5,000 reverse drawing. As ticket numbers are drawn throughout the night, the last ticket standing wins the grand prize.
The evening also features NMJLF’s signature Cap Auctions, adding another layer of excitement while raising additional funds to support New Mexico’s 4-H and FFA youth.
Dress western, settle in for dinner and enjoy a night of entertainment, friendly competition and giving back.
